It&#8217;s a\u00a0small black insect. The brick&#8217;s about 8 cm (3 inches) high\u00a0&#8211; so it&#8217;s pretty small.\u00a0If I hadn&#8217;t looked closely I would have thought it was an ant!<\/p>\n<p>Up close you can\u00a0see that\u00a0it looks just like a <a href=\"https:\/\/kidcyber.com.au\/tag\/facts-about-praying-mantis-for-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">praying mantis<\/a>. The main difference is that only the adults have wings.<\/p>\n<p>In this video you can see the mother laying eggs and the babies hatching.
